I bought this mount for my new s7 edge as it seems there are few that are truly compatible with the new location of the aux port in conjunction with micro USB ports on the bottom of the phone. It's hard to see in the photos but the bottom piece on the mount does extend down and moves side to side. For an s7, you would actually place one of the feet between your aux and USB ports. The ports do NOT fit between the feet. If you look at the picture, you can see my phone "floating" above the feet to accommodate my cables. You can sit your phone all the way down on the feet and your cables will fit, but you will constantly be putting pressure on your charging port which can cause damage over time. The sides fit so snugly on your phone, it won't budge even if you have it in float position. The buttons on your phone are also accessible.UPDATE 6 months later: I adhered the mount to my dash, which was probably a mistake with all of the negative reviews about dash damage, but I can't reach a mount attached to my window--just too far. The arm of the mount has started moving left to right. As there is no left to right adjustment, I'm constantly straining the mount against the dash sticky. There is no way to keep it from moving and it covers my air vent and I had to move it contasntly while driving. I've had to buy a new mount and am going to have to try and use a sharp tool of some kind and goo gone to try and get it off without too much permanent damage to my dash. Once you stick it on your dash, it's pretty much there for the life of your car...mine could go another decadeThe one touch is actually very useful. I can tend to be rushed when I get in the car. You literally set your phone in the cradle and push the middle of your phone and the sides snap in place. It's easy to release your phone as well, there isn't a lot of messing around trying to get it to work.I used to have my car mount on the left side of my car and that wasn't really convenient when using navigation. Due to the design of my car (having a nearly vertical windshield), I can't reach anything stuck to the middle of it, only on the very edges, so I needed something that I could actually put on my dash. There is an extension to give you more distance to you when driving which is helpful. What really got me is that you can angle the mount DOWN below your dash, like in front of your stereo as I have done. Since the s7 edge is tall, it helps give me more visualization of the road since I use Pandora all the time, I'm not fiddling with the radio a lot.Does the telescopic feature fling your phone around? Nope. I live around DC where there are as many potholes as residents, roads feel like you're on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. It does move a bit, but I feel that my phone is completely secure. Unless it's bolted down, everything in your car with shift and move when you git the grand slam in that perfect pothole that makes you cringe for your shocks when you clunk into it.Overall, it's not perfect for the s7, but from my window shopping, it's the best option for now until manufacturers get on the s7 train for true compatibility. There is however, ample room for a larger case like an Otterbox. I would caution though that using a phone case like a Lifeproof would would extremely difficult, if not impossible, if you are using cables simultaneously in the ports.
